ActiveEdge™ is a cartridge-based boring system that uses wireless telemetry to enable precise adjustment of multiple cutting edges without touching the tool. The process using ActiveEdge technology stands to offer unprecedented advances in productivity.

In a HANDS FREE environment- The ActiveEdge tool is adjusted by any computer running the ActiveEdge program. This is accomplished by the ActiveEdge Radio Linkbox , which plugs into any USB port.

In a CLOSED LOOP environment- The ActiveEdge tool is adjusted from the machine controller itself or automatically adjusted when integrated with the gauging station.

By delivering improved accuracy with outstanding, hands-free operator ease-of-use within the context of an automated or near-automated system provides a revolutionary means of enhancing productivity.

Because ActiveEdge is battery-powered it can be fitted to any type of boring bar shank. This flexibility removes the necessity for machine spindle modification and means that ActiveEdge bars can be carried in a standard magazine and tool management system.
